The band "Shkolnoe
Solnce" (The School Sun) was formed in Tarko-Sale (Russia) , at the beginning of the
last decade of the last century. They were the old school mates Sunjah, Hesha
and Shura. The company played not that well at the beginning, therefore it is
not surprising that from the early records of the group almost nothing was
preserved. However, the time went by, like in good old fairy tale, the friends
were gone elsewhere, but their freaky musical ideas, however, were not gone.
Sunjah was singing in the band "Sever 13" (North 13) and released two
solo albums, Hesha played in the band "RDL", and Shura played for
himself in his kitchen... However the destiny again linked them together.
Reggae, which they have chosen as the basic musical direction for their band,
strongly differed that other commands - "cold reggae" – that’s how
the musicians treated the style in which played. It gave the listeners some
inner warmth - "it’s a longing for the warmth", as Sunjah once told.
In 2002 Sunjah was busy with his solo projects, and the band, after the release
of "Ygshe Haer" album, broke up. Shura moved to Sankt-Peterburg, and
his activity is not connected with music, as far as we know. In 2003 Sunjah
moved to Kiev, and his new project is "Bracnie Igri Pilesosov" (The Mating Habits of the Vacuum Cleaners). Nevermind the group broke up in 2002, in
2003 there was released a noise-dub album (together with group "Ansambl Dya"
(The Dya Band)) "Vozdushnie Korni" (Air Roots).
