(“Novaya
Molodezhnaya Gazeta” september 1999)
I have listened to album Sunjah "Tabak" and
it wanted to me to leave on street, on fresh air to reach nearby shop and to
buy bottle beer, and then to return and listen NAIV or EXPLOITED. You, Sunjah,
do not take offence, but punk-rock on your album even beside did not roll.
Punk, in my opinion, it first of all mad drive, a pressure, a feast during a
plague, emotions beating too much with which it is possible to choke, and at
you all somehow languidly and is forced.
From listening the first composition
"Armageddom" the burdensome impression is created: and from the noise
called music, and, actually, from the text. Have planted in psycho-hospital on
life the conclusion, well, say, comrade Henry Rollins, it there has become an
inveterate drunkard, completely degraded, has lost, so to say, human shape.
And, to not die at all from boredom, Rollins creates the punk-group of the same
poor creatures, as well as it, and we hear or are born a fruit of the patient
musical an imagination - composition "Armageddon" (to not confuse to
the Hollywood insurgent with participation Bruse Willis). Russian-speaking
texts on an album are inverted somewhere deeply inside of the person of the
author, owing to what songs - moods (" Eto ne Propoganda ", "
Mne Snitsa Vesna "), or songs - slogans (" Solnce Pokinulo Nas
", " Sploshnaya Nespravedlivost ". " Punk-Rock Tovarischa Pyaka
" ñëåäîâà-
ëî to name - " Citchen Rap Tovarischa
Pyaka ". The unique songs allocated from the general grey background, -
"Dozhd" and " O Janke ", played on two unpretentious
chords.
o Well and as comrade Sunjah speaks: " Punk -
fate as it is regrettable, all the same dead ". Here, as they say, business
"Tabak." With such mood, Sunjah, write better songs about rasta, they
at you turn out much better.
